A Timeless Frame Finds a New Home

Photographs hold the power to capture fleeting moments, connecting us to the beauty of nature and the lives that coexist around us. A stunning photograph of a wild elephant, captured by the founder of Adavi Alert Foundation, has long graced the walls of the Head of the Forest (HOFF) office, symbolizing Karnataka’s rich biodiversity and the essence of conservation.

Now, this iconic image has found another prestigious home in the conference hall of St. Aloysius College, Mangalore. This marks a proud milestone for Kannadigas and wildlife enthusiasts across Karnataka. The photograph features a majestic elephant that once roamed the Gundre and Nagarahole regions, captured long before it gained recognition in the Antharasanthe ecotourism zone. This frame stands as a testament to the timeless bond between humans and wildlife and the importance of protecting these natural wonders.

We extend our gratitude to Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis, SJ, Vice Chancellor of St. Aloysius College, for his invaluable support and vision in bringing this mural to the college. His encouragement to create a larger frame for the university campus exemplifies the collective commitment to conservation education and fostering a connection to nature for generations to come.

This collaboration reflects a shared vision to celebrate and protect Karnataka’s extraordinary wildlife heritage, inspiring many to take a step closer to nature.
