Sarpa Mithra Campaign Begins Its Journey in Karnataka
A step towards reducing fear and increasing understanding of snakes.
Sarpa Mithra Campaign started in January 2025, expanding its outreach across Karnataka to raise awareness about snake ecology and snakebite prevention.
A recent session was conducted at Government Higher Primary School, Banasamudra, Halagur, where over 100 students from 4th to 7th standard participated with enthusiasm. We extend our gratitude to Harsha Vashista for organizing the event and to Harsha Harinath for his valuable support in making it a success.
Head Master Ravi welcomed us warmly and actively contributed to the session, helping create an engaging atmosphere for the students. We also appreciate the efforts of Poornashree, Raghavendra, and his friend, who traveled from Bangalore to be part of this initiative.
The session included an interactive talk on snake ecology, educational videos, and a quiz where winners received Sarpa Mithra stickers. A book donation drive was also conducted, reinforcing the importance of education in conservation.
Photos from the event will be uploaded to our website soon.
