Session One of the Sarpamithra Campaign was conducted at Government High School, Hediyala. A total of 105 students and 4 teachers participated in the awareness program. The session focused on snake ecology, the importance of snakes in the ecosystem, and snakebite prevention.
Highlights of the session:

"Uraga Taranga: Snakes of Mysore" book was donated to the school library.

An interactive quiz on snakes and snakebite awareness was conducted for both students and teachers.

Common myths and fears about snakes were addressed through open discussion.

This session marks the beginning of the campaign that will be taken across all 31 districts of Karnataka to create awareness and promote peaceful coexistence between humans and snakes.
