Session Two of the Sarpamithra Campaign was successfully conducted at JSS High School, Horeyala. A total of 97 students and 6 teachers participated in the program. The session focused on building awareness about snake ecology, their vital role in the ecosystem, and practical steps for snakebite prevention.

Highlights of the session:

  • A copy of Uraga Taranga: Snakes of Mysore was donated to the school library.

  • Students and teachers actively took part in an interactive quiz on snake awareness and first aid for snakebites.

  • Common misconceptions and fears about snakes were openly discussed and addressed.

This was the second step in our statewide initiative to promote peaceful coexistence between humans and snakes across all 31 districts of Karnataka.
