Session Three of the Sarpamithra Campaign was successfully conducted by Adavi Alert Foundation at Morarji Desai Residential School, Melukamanahalli. The session engaged a total of 223 students from classes 8th, 9th, and 10th, along with 7 teachers and staff members. The focus was on snake ecology, conservation, and snakebite awareness, aiming to dispel common myths, encourage coexistence, and teach life-saving first aid practices.

Highlights of the session:

  • Copies of Snakes of Mysore (English) and Uraga Taranga (Kannada) were donated to the school library.

  • Students and teachers participated in an interactive quiz and open Q&A session.

  • Discussions covered the ecological importance of snakes and practical steps to prevent and respond to snakebites.

  • The session sparked curiosity and increased engagement among students about local wildlife.

This session marked a milestone in our mission to spread awareness across all 31 districts of Karnataka, building a network of informed and compassionate communities.
