Overview:
Adavi Alert Foundation conducted the fourth session of the Sarpamithra Campaign at Smt. Nagaratnamma High School in Gundlupet, reaching out to 300 students from grades 8 to 10, along with 7 teachers and staff members. This initiative focused on creating awareness about snakes, their role in the ecosystem, and critical first-aid responses to snakebites.

Session Highlights:

  • The school library received copies of Snakes of Mysore (English) and Uraga Taranga (Kannada), helping students explore the subject in both languages.

  • The session included an engaging quiz and open-floor Q&A, making the learning experience interactive and memorable.

  • Key topics included how to identify snakes, busting common myths, understanding their ecological role, and responding effectively to snakebite incidents.

  • Students showed great enthusiasm and curiosity, many expressing a keen interest in learning more about local wildlife and conservation efforts.

With every session, the Sarpamithra Campaign strengthens its goal of building a more informed and compassionate society across Karnataka, one school at a time.
