Overview:
Adavi Alert Foundation conducted a Sarpamithra awareness session at Nivedita Vidya Niketan, Kaniyambetta, Wayanad, Kerala, for students from 4th to 7th Standard. The session was conducted in collaboration with Outdoor Medics, led by founder Nikil Paul, with support from Teacher Priya. The programme focused on basic snake awareness, safety, and coexistence.

Session Highlights:

  • Simple, age-appropriate awareness on snakes, their role in nature, and safe behaviour during encounters

  • Snakebite prevention and basic first-aid guidance for both students and teachers

  • Teachers were educated on locally sighted snakes and correct responses with right knowledge

  • Donation of Snakes of Mysore to the school library

  • Interactive discussion and student participation
