Overview: Adavi Alert Foundation conducted a Sarpamithra awareness session at P. Satisha Pai Government First Grade College, Mangalore, Karnataka, on 26th March 2026 for college students. The programme focused on snakebite awareness, prevention, and promoting informed and responsible coexistence with snakes as part of the Sarpamithra State Campaign.

Session Highlights:

• Awareness session on snakebite prevention, snake ecology, and their ecological importance
• Scientifically accurate guidance on snakebite first aid and emergency response
• Discussion on commonly encountered snakes and reducing myths and misconceptions
• Encouraging safe human behaviour and respect towards wildlife
• Donation of Snakes of Mysore books to the institution library for educational reference
• Distribution of snakebite awareness posters with a request to display them permanently on campus
• Interactive session attended by more than 100 students with active participation
